Visits to schools over the last week?

I think they all had visits over the last week for parents and children who have a qualifying score.

Is that the case and, if so, how have they gone? Were any impressive or did some get put off?

Who went to four schools!?

Any points to note?

I went back to Pates this week. I was a much more relaxed knowing DS has passed the test. I felt more free to ask questions and the two girls who showed us round were lovely. You do tend to look at a school differently knowing it is a real possibility that your child could be going there.

The school was as I had expected it to be. It was good to see it 'in working' mode with lots of engaged learning taking place.

A very good school.

I visited Pates and DR
I admit I was very impressed with the way Pate's was relaxed but focused. Happy and successful.

I fund DR was a quite stuffy by contrast. I know DR is a good school so will not read too much into it.

The Heads were interesting - one happy, relaxed, focused, caring. The other less personable a real blue stocking type. I know that DD would have good uniform there but

anyway - just a visit
