It was Admissions at Shire Hall saving pennies by using 2nd class post, but sending early to ensure they got there 'on time'.

Well in the current climate we can't blame them and it does put people out of their misery that little bit earlier. :)

Does anyone know what score Tommies went down to in their first round allocations this year? I remember hearing that a score of 215 got a place which was the same as last years first round cut off. I thought it would go lower this year because less children passed however the higher number of girls passing for Pates might have negated that.

Thanks Tewkes, that sounds quite good.

They always had their pass mark set so that everyone who passed got a place. The change of system two years ago messed it all up but it looks as though they are refining it nicely. I am coaching a friend's son for next October and it helps knowing this sort of thing when they get their results.
