 Post subject: Getting in to Balcarras

Not sure how but someone I know's DD got into Balcarras.
Lives in Gloucester.
Not disabled.
No sibling there.
How does that work?

No, neither.
They had a son there but not any longer.
Surely one of the qualifications is that your sibling is already there?

Yes, the sibling has to be at school and I think it generally excludes sixth form. They could have been admitted under fair access protocols. These should be listed in the admissions booklets.

It has been known for people to rent somewhere in the catchment and put that address down as their main address. If you live there for 1 year and pay council tax, have bank details etc registered there I guess this is technically not breaking any rules. Bit naughty though.
