DD did the tommie's courses last year and thought they didn't help at all. There were just too many children. The computers weren't always reliable (I too struggled to find out what was going on with the password business!) and she had to share one in the end. It may be helpful for a complete novice though

I've never heard a good word said about these courses.
You can't teach VR (effectively) to large groups.
£15 an hour for your DC to be one of 15-20 pupils?!
I make that takings of £225-£300. Something wrong here.
If I was going down this road I'd expect change from a fiver.
30-45 mins a week of 1 to 1 would cost about the same and would be far more beneficial.

I was really disappointed with this course - I had expected may be 5 in a class but it was a classroom full- DD did one block of lessons but it was hugely stressful and we gave up and found a one to one tutor.Orson wrote:I've never heard a good word said about these courses.
