My son has just sat the Glos grammar school tests. He was sent the familarization packs and generally did pretty well (scoring 78 to 83 out of 85). At school they said he was a reasonably good prospect with a VRQ of 130+. The interesting point was that he sat two VR test the first of which was "pimps" the second of which was very much more difficult. In fact he said it was much more difficult than the NFER familarization papers. Talking to other parents their children made the same comments. With the current familarization papers (which they were sent by the grammar school) they cannot really get an idea of how difficult the tests are really going to be. Does anyone else have the same experience or know of more difficult papers that we can use for our younger boy who will be taking the test next year?
