i assume I'll put the highly unlikely State GS-1 as No.1 which we're unlikely to get anyway, and State GS-2 second (still unlikely), and then our Indie-1 (may be likely), and then the most likely Indie-2 (for which it is realistic to qualify), and a local comp as No.6 (just as a back up)...

The CAF only applies to state schools. You do not list independent schools on it, as admission to those is strictly a matter between you and the school.
