Marling school websites states 5th October 2013 as the test date.

Agree with SD about October coming around quickly.
My tips would be:
Aim to finish prep well prior to test day (so DC can chill out a bit).
By then be happy (both you and DC) that you have done as well preparing as you can (then switch off prep mode).
Make sure DC gets enough sleep (no sleepovers!) and eats/drinks well in days precceeding test
Make sure DC is familiar with everything thats happening on test day (so that nothing fazes them).
Make sure DC knows not to leave any answers blank
Consider banning tree climbing or anything else with a high risk factor at some point prior to the test day.
I read that running can help DC's learning ability, so DD did a mile or so twice a week with us.
She was willing but not overly keen on it, and of course we will never know if it helped.
Have a pair of size UK2 girls Brooks GTS for sale if anyones interested

Can I add to make sure DC knows to go to the toilet during the break between tests whether they need to or not! Just to save them missing 5 - 10 minutes of the test like my DS. Bright but no common sense.
