Are there any parents out there who can shed some light on both or either of the schools please.

Both really good schools with lots going on - what in particular are you interested in, I know both get decent numbers into Pates, Glos Grammars and independents, best bet to go and look around both, my child went to RPS and really enjoyed it and got into Pates I know other families that have/had children that went to Berky and haven't heard any complaints from them.

I agree, both great schools, but having had one son who went all the way through Berkhampstead from Nursery (currently at STRS), and two still at Berky, my detailed knowledge is limited to the one school. What I love about Berkhampstead is the happy, family feel, the wonderful teaching staff - including Richard Cross the exceptional head - the way in which each child's strengths are drawn out and encouraged, and the fantastic results. All three of my children are very different but the school is and has been the most perfect foundation for each. I am sure your child will be happy and successful in either school - good luck!
