Test Arrangements
Received in post today test arrangements for taking test at Tommies on November 10th-same day as all grammar schools in Gloucestershire.What is interesting is they have confirmed that the 1st test will be 45 mins and the 2nd will be 50 mins,which is the same as last year.Last year they changed the format from 2 50mins test without any notification and the children only found out on the day!!!
Whilst walking through Cheltenham today,saw a stand set up advertising the Choice Advisory Service from the county council.I asked the lady there what info parents will be told in the letters sent out to them 2 weeks after the test,as there seems to be some confusion still-some schools are telling parents they will know the standardised scores.She confirmed that yes this is the case,and that the LA controlled grammars(Tommies and Denmark Road) also will probably be providing the scores too.Note the probably-she said that the council could not keep the scores secret under the freedom of information act!
