Science fair at Crypt

Post by AJ11 »

Has anyone else received invitation to the Crypt Science fair on 4th March? Couldn't believe it when the envelope came this morning wih the school logo on, why would they be writing now, I thought? Bit odd having it on allocation day because it's going to be gutting if a place not offered and son really wants to go along to the fair.

Anyone else got any views on this? If nothing else it will give us something to think about until 4th March (which is now less than 2 weeks away, hooray)!!

Yes we got an invitation to the Science Fair also!

DS rang me at work and told me that a letter had arrived from Crypt and my heart jumped into my mouth! The drive home was definitely quicker than usual (!) but sadly it just contained a couple of leaflets! They shouldn't do that to us should they?

I did notice the fair is being held on allocations day and that would definitely be cruel if our DS's don't get a place there to then expect them to go along and enjoy the fun!

I also thought that if they have mailed out the invitation to everybody who registered with Crypt then there will be an inordinate amount of people attending!!

On the other hand...perhaps they have only sent out to the 112 September 2008 intake of Year 7s!!! (yeah, in my deams!!)

Like you said bit crazy I suppose to invite everyone that registered with Crypt, that would be a lot of people. They must do these things to keep us on our toes and keep us guessing lol.

My heart was in my mouth also when I saw the envelope, definately thought the worst. Oh well another few (sleepless) nights and all will be revealed. this sort of thing definately sends you loopy, don't think I'll ever be the same again. The stupid thing is my son is not bothered one little bit, he's completely sane whereas me...... well!!!

Best of luck y'all, the men in white coats are getting closer or could it be the postman?

Just back from our break in London to find the letter too!!! I nearly had heart failure-definitely a cruel thing to do if we don't get places.

If I could have pre-warned you I would have done! I am convinced it was a cruel joke by the Crypt School secretary to send out all those letters just to keep us on our toes!

For the record, everybody I know has received one...even those who didn't pass the exam so no clues there!
