I am quite lucky because my DS is a bit of a bookworm...although not so much during the warmer weather and lighter nights because he is usually out playing football! He is working his way through the entire Alex Rider series at the moment, but unsure what to get him after he has finished these!

Ds had a visit to primary school from the head of year 7 at Crypt today.
Apparently the school is definitely getting specialist status in languages as well as their currect science.Boys will do Italian according to DS as well as the normal German and French-oh yes and lots of talk about foreign trips haha!!!

Start saving methinks....

That's excellent news...although DS won't get any help from me with his Italian homework since I don't have the first clue about it!

As for saving...you are not joking Gloucestermum...this is an expensive year for me!

Right, I have finally finished completing all the forms (well at least I think I have)...can I just check that nobody else has filled in anything to do with uniform order?

Managed to get DS to write his letter....under threat of not going out to play until it was done naturally   . It's not his best piece of work but it is all his own words - and it made me chuckle in places! Wondering if the headmaster will be making notes because if so my DS will have his cards marked from day one!

Just need to get it all in the post in time for the deadline on Friday....and yes, we have opted for the laptop scheme too.

Well done Burneth!!!
I dropped mine off at the school, didn't want to put the wrong postage on it!
I didn't do anything for uniform.

DS has gone off to PGL today until Friday-very quiet here,as he is an only child it's just me and the DH-what will we find to talk about??????

Ha Ha - I will be in exactly the same position next week...DS heading off with school for his residential...and it'll just be me and OH kicking around the house...it'll be so quiet...no phone ringing...no doorbell going....no constant stream of kids in and out of the house.....I think I will hate it!!

I was thinking about dropping off at the school...did you drive down the driveway? Where is the entrance...I am such a newbie aren't I? lol!

Drove in and took right hand fork then parked at front of school-lady on reception was very pleasant!

Was at work so early today-no lunches to pack,no shouting matches about teeth,PE kit-was quite boring actually
