Congrtulations! Rivermoon and Well done DS.

Can I ask you - What your DS score was and under what criteria he was offered a place in WGBS?

Laser123 - What position is you DS in the CI List for WGBS?

Curious Mum.

Hi all,

just to say my DS was offered a place at Parmiters as well today!

We've turned it down but hopefully someone will get a call that will make their day today!

Wow Rivermoon, school places are like buses aren't they!! So happy for you and your child. And, how exciting for the next person on the CI list waiting for Parmiter's !!, expensive for them too, double set of uniform!

I am amazed that there are still places being offered at this stage.
My Ds started Queens today and said that there was a new person in his form who was offered Queens yesterday.

This is triggered by people with an independent place who don't inform the school, so that the school only discovers the place is unwanted when the child doesn't turn up on the first day.

I don't think it's rude. If you have already accepted a place at an indpendent school why not inform the schools where your DD or DS is on the continuing list so that any place that comes up goes to the next child. Surely it's common sense......

I've said it before, and I will say it again, this scenario happens every year, how hard is it, for goodness sake, to politely decline your offer of a place if you decide to go independent? it just does not make sense to me. *Off high horse now*
