I have just spotted this on the Bucks CC website:

Quote:
Ashlyns school

Hertfordshire County Council are changing to a two tier school system in the Berkhamsted area from September which means you can now apply for a Year 7 place at Ashlyns School for September 2013 if you apply by 6 December 2012.

To included Ashlyns School on your application email admissions@buckscc.gov.uk with the following:

• Your child’s full name and date of birth
• A numbered list of your preferences, including Ashlyns School
• Any relevant information about your application for Ashlyns School, ie the name and date of birth of a sibling

This extended deadline applies only to the addition of a preference for Ashlyns School.

Ashlyns has had some tough times for a couple of years, but the word on the grapevine is that they are now getting sorted out. It is well worth considering as an alternative school if you are that area.
