WGGS locker size?

Post by Musicgirl »

Are the lockers at Watford Girls large enough to hold a violin case?

I think there is a room with keypad entry for keeping instruments in - this is what we were told on the open evening.
Is your daughter having lessons at school? My dd is keeping the teacher she has now but she is planning to be involved with orchestra.

Hmm, I was told there was an area for violins, but it sounded like just a shelf of some sort.

My daughter is keeping the teacher she has now, but wants to join the orchestra.

Hi music girl

I just spoke to my DD who was in Y10 and has been in the orchestra since Y7. She confirms the use of two dedicated lockable cupboards, one for woodwind and one for strings. The cupboards use a keycode which is only told to you if you need to lock an instrument up and are right next to Mrs Bridges (head of music) office and outside lesson times the music department door is locked.

You are not recommended to use regular lockers and they would not be big enough for a violin anyway.
