If you write the number 10 twice as 1010, you get the binary representation of 10.

Who has a good fact about 9?

My best effort comes from footballguys.com:

"In French the word neuf means both nine and new. In German, the words for nine and new are neun and neu, and in Spanish, nueve and nuevo. As you count and reach nine, you know you are about to make a new start."

If you add any digit to 9, the sum of the digits of the result will equal the original digit.
If you multiply any digit with 9, the sum of the digits of the result will equal 9.

7 wonders of the ancient world
7 continents
7 colours of the rainbow
7 days until we knoooow.

What's everyone planning to do to mark the day?

I thought of lining up a movie DD wants to see and slipping in on soon after we get the news - to stop her brooding in her room on her own. But possibly it's healthy to brood after big news, and I shouldn't try to divert her.

7 notes in a musical scale
7 days in a week
David Beckham's shirt number

Be positive. Whatever school she gets. Our DD initially missed out on a place at her first choice school but we still said, "Great News!! You got a place at St. Clement Danes". We kept the appeal etc. quiet from her too and let her focus and get excited about the place she was offered. In fact, when we did eventually get a place at her first choice school she was a bit sad about not going to SCD! (She loves it at WGGS now she is there though!)

Not that I am any less anxious this time round. DS should get a sibling place at Watford Boys but I am still worried they mislaid the birth certificates etc!!
