I don't think so, but the four types of questions are described in reasonable detail in the letter and the admissions arrangements. You can practice using a piano. Texture is probably the most difficult type.

Thanks for the feedback. my son does find texture most difficult. If anyone has any ideas please reply soon.

Does anyone know if it's true that you are only notified if you are succesful & get an audition? How long should one reasonably wait before giving up all hope?!

I don't think I will be able to cope waiting even a week or so - goodness knows how I am going to manage between here and next March!

How did it go? I heard that a few of the Melody questions were tough.

any news when the results will be announced. most kids came out of the watford exam looking a bit lost. parents looked very anxious - do we blame ourselves? please post the first result if you get it.

Oooh, so many watching, no one saying anything. Are we all really that superstitious? Ok, I'll go 1st - got the letter (re: Watford consortium 2nd round music practical assessment) yesterday. Postmarked 19th, so there must be loads of you out there......... Child's slot is Weds 28th, am, at Watford Music School and it sound like they're expecting hordes. Emergency music lesson booked!

When do we give up hope?

I phoned the school this afternoon & was told that letters were going out today - although obviously some have already gone since Mary had heard.
