Scores we have come across: 193 / 208 / 209 / 210 / 236 - all outer.

My perception initially were that the scores were / are lower but having seen some of the results posted here I think they may even be higher than last year!!

DD scored 247 we are inner catchment area for WGGS. Other scores I've come across today are 167,173,192,234,240 all outer catchment area.

SW Results Where we stand.

Dear Parents,

Now the results are out and we have the scores in hand, but unfortunately we are still not sure whether our DC we could get into his preferred school. Specially for borderline scores.

The main problem with herts is that we had had exam pattern changed last year, due to which the historical data has become void and doesn't give us any idea on where we stand, unless otherwise southwest herts council tells us how we look at the scores( like they have said last year to add 25 Marks to previous year). Unfortunately that is not correct for this year and also we have seen high scores (240s and 250s) this year.

And again we have only 4 options in CAF form so decision becomes even harder to list the preferred school:

Example:

Say, DC gets score of 220 and his preferred schools are Parmiters/Watford Boys.

And last year cutoff for WBGS was 220(1st March), so he has chance if we consider last year cut off, but can he go with that and list his prefered schools
And puts his preference as below:

Parmiters ( 2016 cutoff 2024)
Watfordboys ( 2016 cutoff 2020)
SCD ( 2016 cutoff 2019)
Rickmanworth ( 2016 cutoff 2007)

If let us assume the cutoff this year is actually 235/240, then they he will not be able to get into any of the Hertfordshire schools he listed on CAF and has to go left over far state school, where he could have got into Queens schools which he could easily get his score??? We can blame southwest herts council for this but that doesn't solve our problem .

So, I have suggestion put down our results and rank ourselves and check where we stand. I have seen around 1500+ view and only 10 people have posted their scores. Mean there are at least 500 parents who are looking for a seat in Hertfordshire and got good score.

Please let me know if this looks sensible. I can collate the data and keep updating. We only have 8-9 days to finalize this. Happy for any other solution.

Good idea my DS got 242 we are inner catchment and are hoping for WBGS.

My DS got 259 and we're putting WBGS as first choice, we are inner catchment. As he got such a high score (although it was expected he would get the highest amongst his year mates at school) he has felt a little embarrassed asking for others' scores. However the few that I do know of are as follows:

185, 197, 205, 220 and my DS's 259.

There's about 10-15 more in his year group that either did the academic test and/or music test.
