dame alice owen exam Hertfordshire

Does anybody know if a child passes the Dame Alice Owen entrance exam, will the offer be forwarded regardless of whether it is listed 1st , 2nd or 3rd on the admission form ?

As far as i'm aware it operates on an equal preference system. Therefore if you had placed your local school (and you were in the catchment area) above Owens in the order of preference then you would be offered your highest preference (ie the local school) regardless of whether you had passed the Owens test.

Thanks for reply . It was what we thought but we keep hearing conflicting stories.
