If you applied on-line to a school in Hertfordshire you should receive an email from them today. No idea how the London boroughs work.

aha... having checked the yourlondon.gov.uk website, it appears that those who applied on line using the www.yourlondon.gov.uk., will have to wait for the 4th... that's what it says on their website:

Barnet London Borough
Open: 3rd September 2007 - 19th October 2007
Publication of results Online: 4th March 2008

I think they have thousands of emails to send so it will take some time. I was expecting ours later this afternoon on the basis that our surname begins with 'P' but I am not sure whether HCC work through the emails alphabetically or using some other method.

My friend has a surname with a W we are C .......

They got a school of their choice, hence worried if any link

I very much doubt that there's any correlation. Everyone has been allocated a school a couple of weeks ago, no matter which it was. Probably just an email glitch.

My email was also dated 12:10, but it didn't reach the Herts central mailserver until 13:23. They might queue them in order of application number, for all I know.
