Sibling Rule in reverse
Does anyone have any knowledge/experience of the following scenario:
No.1 son failed to get a place at any of the Watford Consortium schools. Due to location and test results he's way down the waiting lists. No.2 son (1 year younger) does get a place the following year, however.
Does this mean that no.1 son suddenly jumps up the waiting list as a sibling? Or does the sibling rule only work one way (i.e. with older siblings)? I guess it's similar in some ways to twins.
All academic at the moment, but I'd be interested to know whether it might work. I'm also aware that the sibling rule is constantly under review, though not sure where things stand for 2009 entry.
Thanks in advance.
