School Admissions Consultation 2008 – Limited Extension
Launch Date: Tuesday 4 November 2008
Closing Date: Saturday 15 November 2008

http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/consultations/co ... ionId=1582

This has specific questions on extending the transitional arrangements to for cross-siblings for 2010 as a direct consequence of the Watford adjudication. If you feel strongly about the cross-sibling rule you should complete this on-line. (There are only 2 questions and it takes less than a minute!)

Thanks Stig.

This is relevant to all families with children attending the partially-selective schools (not just the Watford Grammars) as the other question refers to extending the protection currently offered to younger siblings of those currently on the school roll from before Sept 2008 to 2010.

It's also relevant to anyone who has been disadvantaged by having the admission goalposts shifted after they are already in the system!

I'll be submitting my comments and support as an interested "outsider".

Any idea why the transitional rules are being limited to 2010?

Good luck.

Ifyou reply to the online consultation they will send you an email that tells you how many respondants there have been to the survey. It would be really useful to know this number from time to time so please post it here.

When I filled it in there were 52 respondents.

I received an email today from DD's school about this (Parmiter's). Just wondered whether the other consortium schools had sent it round too?
