I think it depends on the school. I remember that the head of Wilmington Boys said during the stage 1 appeal that the waiting list was frozen. This meant that even though anybody might have given up their place, it would not be offered after they had finished all the appeals and gone below PAN.

Maybe the appeals experts can comment? I don't know when they froze the list. I guess you can do what you want if you are an academy?

Nice birthday present. What about your first son? How does he feel?

Congratulations Villagedad. Your DS must be soo pleased. We are like you, with older DS at TWGSB (his first choice) and younger DS going to Skinners in Sept ( his first choice). Both are great schools, and I think if a DS starts his new school thinking 'this is really where I wanted to come', he will hopefully settle more easily and be happy. Our DS1 was so pleased for DS2, and they will still be on the same bus! Just means we cannot pass uniform on!!!!

I wouldn't worry, in my experience of two boys at the same school there's no uniform worth passing on, it gets hammered   or is that just my two

Congratulations to all those who've had good news and fingers crossed for those still waiting.

Thanks everyone, appreciate it :)

Yes DS2 really looking forward to starting at Skinners, which was his 1st choice school. His friends hugged him when he told them.., so sweet.

Good luck to everyone on the waiting list, really hope things work out for you.

Those whose DS's are starting Skinners in September, let's begin a starters thread :D

Just had the lovely news today that my son has also got a place at Skinners on 361. Thanks to all who quickly released their places. Very pleased and best wishes to all of you still waiting, hopefully it won't be long.
