Timing

Post by denis denis »

Hi

My dd did a couple of sections (12 questions per section) of a NVR test yesterday, and I gave her ten minutes for each section. She did really well, but I think I gave her too long. Does anyone know how long they are given for each section?

Thanks!

The format is different to the papers that you buy. There are now 4 sections of 18 q's. I think it was 9 minutes for each section - so 30 seconds for each q if you're trying to tie in the papers that you already have. I dont think they are meant to finish but it's good to get the timing quicker so there's no panic on the day.

Should have also mentioned that they use the shop bought papers for the practice sessions, then the following week use the real papers.

Last year there was confusion at one of the OOC venues. The practice papers are 6 minutes per section & the following week the invigilator apparently gave them 6 minutes again but it should be 9 minutes in the real thing as there are fewer sections but the same number of q's overall.

Probably clear as mud now after my confusing explanation!!
