A breakthrough

I posted below about my son acheiving middle scores. We've had a sudden breakthrough and thought I'd share incase it helps anyone. On a paper last week my son scored 48% with the last few sections completely wrong. Questioned him about this and his reply was 'it's's so boring etc'. I have since said if he gets less than 60% he needs to redo the paper and since he has scored high 70s and into the 80s!!! He is so proud of himself and seems to have almost matured overnight.

Thats great. They need that lightbulb moment and that little bit of maturity.

All the best now for the real thing.

Thanks both of you. Feels like we really have turned a huge corner and his confidence is rocketing - phew! All I want to know is we've tried our best then when the results come in see where will suit him the most. Hopefully it'll all end soon!!

We did something very similar. He realised the more he focused on the test the less time he would have to soend going over the mistakes with me. Just like the OP he when from about half right to 70's in about a week.
