Gosh your poor DS and poor other child too.

That must have been really offputting for everyone sitting their test with that going on. I think I am correct in saying that the invigilator will need to do a report confirming this too which will give evidence if needed at appeal.

Did your son manage to carry on? It would be difficult for an adult to concentrate with those distractions so really difficult for a child.

I hope your son has a better day tomorrow.

All you can do at this stage is to ensure the incident has been properly recorded and logged by the school, invigilator, and LA which you seem to have done. Try and get specific timings if you can. For example was it during Section 3 on NVR? Also be careful what you say about the incident on forum, because the circumstanses could make you and those involved reasonably easily identifiable. Hopefully the incident will not become an issue for you later.

Thanks for replying. My son tried to carry on but said that he just couldn't concentrate.

Actually , that is a good point. I don't want to identify anyone. Does anyone know how I get the thread pulled please?

You can delete the content of your posts, but I think it will leave the thread and other posts there. Do that, and then PM a Mod.

A similar thing has happened to my dc today. I don't want to cause problems at school but my dc said it was sad and distracting especially when staff went to talk to him. Is it Kcc you should contact to check the invigilator has noted this? Would rather not go through the school if possible

Try not to worry , same thing happened to my DD. ONe of her friends had a total meltdown and there were a number of boys crying. She was still OK (this was my DD1 who is now in Y8).

But do be aware that there are lots of people lurking who could ID you and use info against you as sadly I have found to my cost!
