Hi
Is anyone else's child going to be doing extra tests next week (CATS- i believe they are calling them) apparently they are only doing them so that they can be used in the event of an appeal - cant believe she has to do yet more tests!

I thinks its us parents who freak about test and end up stressing our DCs. CATS are very low key and I am not sure why you are stressing over it. Your child will just pick it up too and then get stressed. Appeals are much more than just good CATS so dont worry yourself about them at this stage. Lots of other schools dont even do CATS.

When my dd was in year 6 they just seemed to undergo one test after another - practice SATS etc. I just told my dd to enjoy her last year of primary and she did! :)
