The Judd School Open Evening - tomorrow
Just wondering who else is going to Judd tomorrow? Maybe I'll actually meet some of you in person!
Re: The Judd School Open Evening - tomorrow
Regular lurker here, but only very occasional poster!
Yup I'll be there... and then at Skinners' on the 7th.
I'm sure there are plenty of ppl here from T Wells / Tonbridge and surrounding areas. I would expect a lot of us to be there.

I'll apologise now - firstly for my cakes & secondly for my DS who will be escorting new parents.
Having only been there a month himself & knowing him, he is bound to get lost or go somewhere he shouldn't. Also if you do happen to get him & ask how much homework he gets, he'll say 2 - 3 hours a night. Please bear in mind that it would probably be nearer to 1 hour for normal children - he is particularly slow esp atm as he is trying very hard to be neat & to impress & is not used to having any homework at all.
Have a great visit!

oooohhh...didn't know there would be cakes! In that case I might persuade my ds to go and have a look round . He is a bit fed up with it all now though and just wants his result and half term hols. Realised last night that I didn't write my password down when I registered online and was just grateful that I realised now rather than at the end of half term when you have to file your scaf. Disaster averted...for now anyway

And you need to remember password for 1st March! Good luck to all those people who get gloriously lost when being shown round by my dc. Will tell them what a wonderful school whilst losing them hopelessly!

If you eat a purple (Hodge House colours) fairy cake with a minstrel on top - that was one of ours!

I'm looking forward to the cakes (and joining 'The Big Diet' forum the day after!).
I've just looked at the Judd website and it says that there is no on-site parking. Please can anyone suggest good places to park. Thanks!

I'm hoping that we will be allowed to park at West Kent College, across the road.

The cakes were delicious, the tour guides lovely (we didn't get lost!) and the school impressive. Now there's three factor that will affect (effect?) our choice. In chronological order:
1) The dreaded adjudicator's decision
2) DS passing 11+ and getting a good enough score
3) Travel to and from school (Actually thats an issue for all grammars for us, not just Judd)
PS Thanks to Twinkle and SSM for car-parking advice which we found useful.
