2010 Required Raw Scores

I got mine last night from a state school and am not a member of staff/PTA - just a parent.

I got my sons raw scores last year from KCC and it says this on the bottom of last night's email;

•If you need to know your child’s individual test scores, they are available on request from the primary school. If you cannot obtain them from the school, you may contact the Secondary Admissions Team for assistance. Please email kent.admissions@kent.gov.uk using the term "Kent Test scores request" in the subject header of the email and quote your child's Pupil ID from the letter.

The letter referred to is the one that we got today with the suitable for GS/HS decision on it.

i did that and was told, have to get it from the school who said they did not have it.

Dear all
On a slightly different note I just spoke with someone at KCC admissions who said (when I asked her to explain standardised scoring and age adjustment) she told me "the scores arn't adjusted, every child is in the same learning year"! I know this applies for SATs but 11+?

Am I right in thinking she is wrong or am I just confused ?

Hi, Does anyone know the raw scores for 2012 please? Also if I remember correctly when DS1 took the test it was no two scores below 116 and no score below 114...I may be wrong about numbers though...does anyone remember hw the scores were last year? Thank you

Hi, you can call Kent Admissions and get the 2012 information. They told me the following:

To get full marks, a 10 year and 7 months old child needed to get:

NVR 50 questions out of 72 (around 69.4%) 141 points
VR 63/80 (77.5%) 141 points
Maths 38/50 (76%) 141 points

I didn't ask about the percentages needed for a pass.

Thank you Salsa. I don't suppose they told you the scores for 120 did they? DS2 will feel a bit better seeing the 141 ones as he was worrying he would need high 80-90% to pass.

Think is is usually around the 50 percent mark to pass. So I isn't a huge range between pass raw scores and superselective raw scores.

I didn't ask, but looking back at the 2010 scores, they seem pretty similar. The difference is that now it is 141 instead of 140 points.
They were very helpful when I phoned them.
