Re: 2010 Required Raw Scores
Hi,
There is another thread where we posted raw scores last year. I can tell you for a child 10 and 7 months for the full 141 points. Of course, this year they may do things differently:
2013 raw scores required for 141:
NVR 55/72
VR 64/80
Maths 42/50

Re: 2010 Required Raw Scores
Hi,
Here is where we discussed it. Children needed to get more questions right to obtain the same number of points as the previous year, especially in Maths.

Thanks Salsa; I'll take a look.

Re: 2010 Required Raw Scores
Hi Salsa, thanks for that. Sorry I am not clear from that thread if those were the lowest raw scores needed to get 141 in each subject or if those are scores that one particular child who got 141 achieved, if you see what I mean. As 141 is the highest standardised score quoted (or was it not in the year in question) there will be a range of raw scores which achieved that standardised score right up to the sky's the limit ( well not really, right up to 100% .... wonder if any child ever got that in all three papers?).
Re: 2010 Required Raw Scores
Hi Mystery,
I only ever asked about the required raw scores for 141, as we are OOC. I think there was someone else who asked what you needed for 121. After a certain number of quedtions right it doesn't matter if you get any more questions right as you get 141 anyway.

Re: 2010 Required Raw Scores
Ah thank you. All I need now is a copy of the 2013 papers to see if she had taken the papers that year where my DC would have fallen ... above or below 120 in each subject or 141 with the most magical breakfast.
84% for 141 in the maths suggests the paper itself that year was relatively easier than usual in 2013 - is that right?

Re: 2010 Required Raw Scores
The paper was much harder and the previous year he would have needed the following raw scores:
10.7 months raw scores for 2012
NVR 50/72 69.4% 40 min
VR. 63/80 77.5% 50 min
Maths 38/50 76% 1 hour

Re: 2010 Required Raw Scores
Yes, children needed to get more points in 2013 to get the same standardised score than in some other years but wouldn't that have been because overall the population sitting those tests found them relatively easier and overall got higher raw scores?
Re: 2010 Required Raw Scores
The general consensus was that the Maths paper was harder.
