Hi , Kent 11+ people. Being from Essex we are just moving to the system you have of knowing your pass mark and likelihood of a grammar place when you select your school. Can anyone let me know what info you receive once you have sat the test? Do you get a score and a comment regarding likelihood of securing a grammar place / do you get scores / raw scores??

Hi,

We receive an email telling us if our children have passed or not. The children need to score 360 across the 3 tests with a minimum of approx. 119 in each. We can then ask the school for the standardised scores and in turn KCC for raw scores. However, depending on where you are applying to this information may not be enough to tell us if a place at a certain school is definete. For example in West Kent some schools select on score and this can go up and down depending on who applies. Also schools which take on distance can mean that one year where you live is near enough and others not. It's only now after a few years of this system that it's easier as certain scores/distances can pretty much guarantee a place. Other parts of Kent a pass can mean you will definetly get into a school.

Hope this makes sense,

MM
