You have been sooooo kind..........

All I ask for is that they judge Christopher on his work to date, his exam results.........

I still cant help thinking, we dont stand a chance..........

I will homeschool if he does not get in........

However, I will give it my best shot.......

Thank you all.

Hi Cindy,

Just reading your post made my stomach churn! I will have everything crossed for you tomorrow and will keep checking during the day to see how you got on.

Some tips from a lay person.

1 Take a deep breath
2 If you feel the tears rising take a deep breath and slow the breathing down
3 Speak slowly, but not so slow as to put the panel to sleep, and clearly
4 Remember that they are not adversaries
5 Take some notes of what you want to get across and/or refer to your appeal letter/pack - this will help if your mind goes blank
6 Wear comfortable shoes, loose knickers (Not the ones biting into your bottom and showing VPL) and an outfit you are comfortable in
7 Breath and believe what you are saying - banish negativity and be truthful

What will be will be :) but rest assured we are all sending you positive vibes and will be with you in spirit.

I wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow Cindy.

Just remember to try and stay focused on what you want to say.
I know you have probably heard it all before elsewhere on the forum but it really isn’t as bad as what you think it’s going to be.

I’m sending you much luck and good wishes for tomorrow.

Keep positive and stay strong.

Dear Cindy

I wish you all the best for tomorrow. Although I've not been through what you are facing tomorrow take advice from those that have and there are many on this forum, they've all felt similair to you now but many have been successful so take heart and know there will be nothing more you could have done

Dear Cindy,

Please do not feel that you have no chance. Tomorrow you will have EVERY chance to put your sons case forward. Do not worry about being nervous, the panel will be aware how nerve wracking this can be. I felt the same as you and was even told by several people that our chances of success were very slim because our daughter failed her Maths by 8 points. Once you get in there it's not so bad really. If the panel feel that your son should be awarded a place then the school have to admit him regardless of them being full or not.

Wishing you all the very best for tomorrow, will be thinking of you. Please let us know how it went.

Hi
Thank you al so much for your kind support......
Well, the panel members were very nice, and did put me at ease. Ater the school had said that they were effectivley full to the rafters, we were asked if we had anything to add. I had picked out some of the most important things that had been said about Christopher, but halfway through, I lost it.
I was choked, and could not say what I wanted to, in the way I wanted?
Fortunately, my husband came to the rescue and put some of our points across.
Afterwards, we were hoping that the case for the school being full was not
the sole answer, I hope they pass some people, or what is the point of anyone appealing...........

We were told that we should get our result about next Tue/Wed.
Thank you again, and good luck to those who have still to go X
