Out of area applications

We are considering preparing our daughter for 11+ entry to TOGs but have been told that because her birthday is September, she may need to achieve a score as high as 98% .

She has mild special needs and whilst she is highly gifted, this sort of score seems unattainable for her.

Does anyone have any advice on out of area entry to TOGs and whether the information I have been given is accurate?

Thanks

She will need to score highly to get the overall pass mark - last year I think it was 414. She will get a maximum of either 140 or 141 ( muddled on this) on each of three papers. The maximum mark equates to between 75% and 80%. Older pupils have to score the higher percentages to get the maximum mark. If you have a look at the sticky on raw scores at the top of this thread it should help explain this.
