Re: 2014 takers!
Hi all
Has anyone heard any news i.e. when we will know which test the DC's will be sitting in 2014, or when we're likely to know?
Thanks

Look at sticky up top of Kent section in red.

Can't open it. Does it say anything of substance? The Kent procurement exercise referred to in the sticky is aiming to find a tutor proof test too. Load of rubbish really.

Re: 2014 takers!
Yes our son is a 2014 taker and a July born too. Its our second time so we will be used the same plan we did for our DD who thankfully got top marks.
We cannot afford a tutor and have got many of the books from eBay or Amazon market place. Over the summer holidays this year we will start on the Bond how to do books. As our son is younger we have already been working on some of the lesson plans from Bond just to help with his English (as I sure that will be the change to the test).
Then at the weekends from end of the Summer hols until the following year we will spend an hour to 90 mins with him working through each of the how to books. Then this will hopefully mean they will all be completed by Summer 2014 ready for the practice tests over the holiday.
We try to make it fun with snacks and drinks and hopefully as its with us rather than tutors we can give cuddles when needed and stern-ish words also.
Good luck all... with the increased spaces hopefully it wont be as bad.

That sounds good. Do you intend to use that. Plan if the Kent test changes ?

We hope so... its more about the method I suppose... relaxing them, the enviroment, making it regular etc. If they change the test we may have to get new books, but we will continue the same plan for him.

You think it is the kent vr that is most criticised of the three papers?
What did you mean by Bond lesson plans to help English? hat is the book called and is it good?
