Have anyone starting at Skinners this Sept had any info from them, other than the "are you accepting your place letter"? Its all very quiet.

We have had a letter from the Headmaster with some information forms (parents' contact details etc) to complete and return to the school along with his birth certificate by 28th March.

Thanks, that is what we have had too.

DS is keen to know about his uniform, I had a look at the prices on Simmonds site!!! I think I am happy to put off that purchase for a few more months, I had not realised that the uniform was quite so expensive.

When you go to the new parents evening in June (? or thereabouts) the ladies from the school shop/Simmonds are there and you make an appointment to go into the school shop and get fitted out. I don't think that they carry much if any stock in the actual Simmonds store in TW and I don't tend to buy on line as my DS's are odd shapes

A lot of the uniform you can get from high street stores - white shirts, black trousers, black v neck jumpers and white pe shorts, black rugby shorts - you can't buy much else until the parents evening when you find out what house he will be in as a lot of it - blazer, tie and pe vest are trimmed according to house colour. The rest of the games kit comes from the school shop too.

Just purchased 3rd blazer for DS1 (he will keep growing which is very inconsiderate of him  ) and it was very expensive.

Has anyone heard from Skinners recently?

We've not had anything since the contact details form and the quietness makes me worry we've missed something!

From the Skinners' website:

The new parents evening will be in June

and

"The 2013 entry induction afternoon is on Thursday 11 July 2013."
