Hi Shevek,

Are these cut off scores for DGS boys for out of county applicants or for those living with in the DGS catchment?

ibilmara, boys in the catchment area only need to pass the test
Those cut-off scores are for OOC boys
My ds got 398 in 2010, my goodness he was lucky that year!

Good luck to everyone considering DGS, it is a fantastic school

Does anyone know whether these are cut offs for March offer day or cut offs from the waiting list?

I suspect it's from offer day which means it will go lower? Does anyone know the waiting list cut offs?

Thanks

Not sure bexleymum but I do know a child who had to wait well beyond allocation day for an OOC place with a test score of 418

So I don't understand the 394 figure quoted either, unless there was a sudden big shift in waiting list rankings later in the summer

I have emailed this question to their Admissions department and didn't get the figure. Has anyone else tried? I know the head said to Bobmumof3 394, but when would that have been? Would it be on appeal, but not the waiting list?

These are the 2 emails I received

Hello

Kent schools only use the standardised score, eg 418, for their ranking lists and as sometimes referred to in a school's admissions criteria. The date of birth is already taken into account to produce the standardised score.

If you want further specific information about raw scores etc please email kent.admissions@kent.gov.uk

Hello

The scores needed to be offered a place at Dartford Grammar will be known after offer day 03 March 2014.

We have not yet reached the closing date for applications and do not know how may have applied for Dartford Grammar and therefore what their particular scores are. In addition some may be offered a higher preference than Dartford Grammar.

Their admissions criteria is based on score and their distance provided they are living in Zone A, then all other applicants by score and distance.

For Admissions 2013 I believe for offer day the lowest score was 418 and a distance of 4.95 miles.
