I've just noticed that on the DGS website home page, there are details of a consultation on proposed changes to their admissions criteria for September 2015 entry. The proposals are for 180 places (currently 150) with a limit of 90 places for boys from zone A, the Dartford Electoral Wards (no limit currently).

I saw that on the DGS website as well. Although I am glad they are they increasing the number of seats, I am very unhappy that they are limiting it to 90 seats in Zone A

We are in Zone and my DS will be taking the test soon

From speaking to one of the teachers at DGS at an open day where my son was involved in hosting, it is not dramatically different from the status quo now. Apparently not more than 23% from Ward A gains admission into DGS. Partly because not enough sit for the exam and also because a considerable number also fail due to little or no prep as it is assumed 360 should not be difficult to score in the 11 plus.

For sure 90 boys did not get into DGS from Ward A in the 2013 intake.
