Yes apparently, according to friends who are teachers there ( or at least they have not been told otherwise) ..

Ah thanks. So is there a contract now with Wilmott Dixon for building the Sevenoaks Annex without the grammar school?

Yes, well that is what they are being told.

Heard Mr Bowers ( Wok Governor) on Kent radio this morning talking about the preference for single sexed grammars in this area and he made small reference to the proposed new Grammar, certainly didn't sound like he knew any more than us, nor that a decision was imminent, unless i am being way too trusting.

Interesting that he gave preference to an all girls Wok, clearly they had to propose co-ed as part of the new Grammar process but it was not something they particularly favoured.

Thanks --- sorry I misworded my question - I meant to say a contract for building Trinity without the grammar school (rather than the annex without a grammar school ...... which is what they seemed to be saying what they were going to do last year ......).

Seems like it. I wouldn't hold my breath then either. It's the trinity building that is still puzzling me rather.

Any sign of Trinity being built yet?

Guess that grammar annex is never going to happen in Sevenoaks in any shape or form but no-one from a right leaning council or central government is ever going to actually say "no" to the last proposal from WoK ---- or if they do, it will be on some other issue other than whether it was an annex or not e.g. insufficient demand relative to cost / negative effect on other schools in the region / no capital funding.

The Wildernesse School building fronting Seal Hollow Road has been demolished and debris removed. Bulldozers are moving earth, etc, around but there are no signs of any Trinity foundations, at least not visible from the road.

When I have the chance, I'll visit the Sencio carpark onsite for a better look - and to check what groundworks have been carried out in respect of the proposed grammar annexe.
