Just in. Format details of new Kent test.

The first paper will be English and maths and last one hour. Each test will be 25 minutes +5 minutes practice time. There will be a hard stop at the end of each paper.
The English paper will comprise of a comprehension exercise and a test to mark literacy skills. Both will still be multiple choice.
The second paper will be a reasoning paper and comprise again of two sections. The first section will be verbal reasoning and then the second non-verbal reasoning which will be in four sections. Each of the sections will be timed individually
There will be practice elements and questions for each.
In the afternoon there will be a writing paper of 40 minutes +10 minutes planning time. As with previous years this will not be marked and only used for headmasters or appeal assessments.
The scores will again be standardised and range from 69 to 141. The maximum mark therefore being 282 as only two papers.
