Raw Scores & maximum req. scores FOI req
I have just got DS's raw scores:
English 20/24 (83%) = 118
Maths 21/30 (70%) = 130
Reasoning 65/80 (81%) = 135
He was 10 years and 5 months on the day of the test
I also asked for the scores required to get the maximum on each paper for his age:
English 24/24 (100%) = 138
Maths 27/30 (90%) = 141
Reasoning 70/80 (87%) = 141
Sorry didn't ask for scores to get 106
Hope this helps!

I am new to this....how will knowing the raw scores assist, as the schools will go by the standardised scores?

Thanks for this. It helps parents whose children will take the test next year. We know we need to get 100% to get full marks for English. Although we may not need such high scores anymore. We'll see what happens in March. Then we'll know the required scores.Mumof2boyskent wrote:I have just got DS's raw scores:

Re: Raw Scores & maximum req. scores FOI req
This year it looks like you won't need anywhere near maximum for the superselectives so I'm not sure the required scores for maximum are that meaningful.
It could well be all change next year again anyway. Even if GL are still the provider, I'm sure they will have learned something from this year and tweaked the papers. Hopefully to make the Maths a bit easier and the English a bit harder at least.
Well done to your DS anyway! Those look like very good scores for this year's papers!
