Grounds for Appeal in East Kent

Can someone tell me if disqualification with no mitigating circumstances but showing good string progress dive sitting the 11+, would be 'grounds for appeal'?
In other words, no other strong academic evidence other than progression to the desired level for grammar in the subject that failed.
