That sounds very promising for you Diamondmum :) Good luck to everyone opening envelopes today and just a reminder to everyone, if you are lucky enough to receive a second round offer and accept it, please don't forget to let the school you were offered originally know that you no longer require the place as there will be others waiting for it and there is no automatic process which lets the schools know xx

No offer for us. We're waiting for Skinners with an OOC score of 360 (for info) :)

Hi there, welcome to the forum. Skinners don't have IC and OOC places so the fact you aren't in Kent won't affect your chances. The boys are listed by score only and distance will only come into play if there is a tie for a place.

Good luck to your DS.

Also, do remember, there is still a lot of movement after the second round. We were in the position of waiting for a Skinners place this time last year. We didn't get it on the second round, but once the date passed for people to accept their second round places had passed (and they had been decent and let the school they were giving up know..!) we got a place! The score dropped quite a bit even after the second round offers, so do hang in there :) :)

We were hoping for a place at Weald but were unsuccessful.

Does anyone know if you are offered a higher place school from your CAF (in the second allocation) does the originally offered school place automatically get re-allocated? I have read that in some areas it does get re-allocated but in the Kent thread it seems this may not be the case.

The TOGS website says they have offered 15 places in the second round (13 in area and 2 out). I'm guessing that some of the 13 in area places, would be girls who have already accepted places at Weald, which they will not need if they accept the TOGS offer. If this is the case there is still scope for some movement over the next week or two (I hope).

Congratulations to all of you who were offered places today, as we all know waiting isn't easy. You also have a long weekend for a well earned celebration - enjoy.

The second round offers are optional and KCC will not release your original offers. For examples we are offered a place at TOGS and will have to contact the first school allocated (in our case Weald of Kent) to release the place which we will soon after TOGS acknowledges our acceptance. This should not take long.

Hence yes for everyone still waiting there will be more movements.

Good Luck

Surprised the TGS second round score has gone UP!! Thankfully DD got in on first round, as I can only imagine how stressful this whole process is.
