I am from Kent.,Medway Mum is from Medway. We both have knowledge of the area
I tutor in Kent , have taught on primary schools in Kent for many years and my two children have been through the Kent test and grammar school system.
I have no programming powers over the site, but have posted a sticky with the correct information. I advise parents and help where I can.

I have found this site/ forum useful though the fact that, apparently, much Kent information is out of date is a pity.
If users have kids they consider bright enough for grammar school they ought themselves to be smart enough to be able to sort the wheat from the chaff - even if only by the simple expedient of cross checking elsewhere.
They should also be able to use internet search engines to find the website run by a chap who both gives and sells advice to parents in Kent and Medway about education matters.
Just done it - not rocket science! I am aware of the issues about 'commercialism' but CHILL OUT!

I was going to say what you just said, Grumpy Old Man, except for the bit about CHILLING OUT.Grumpy Old Man wrote:I have found this site/ forum useful though the fact that, apparently, much Kent information is out of date is a pity.

I , too, was aware that things were changing in Kent and have seen the Stickies coming up on the Kent site as new people with more recent info came on the site, sad person that I am that I read everything on the Forum.
Old, outdated info is sti11 quite interesting as you can glean how people cope with different problems and it would serve some purpose to get a feel of the exams over the years.
The Stickies are right at the top and meant to be read for the most recently offered updates.
The moderators' sorry unpaid jobs is to fo11ow the briefs of their voluntary posts amid their busy day jobs and family needs ie. please remove any reference to any commercial links within posts according to Forum rules. so if it's there, they HAVE to remove it. It's hardly an evangelical deed.

That is a disgraceful and inflammatory statement to make and one that should fall within the site moderators remit to censor.Grumpy Old Man wrote: If users have kids they consider bright enough for grammar school they ought themselves to be smart enough to be able to sort the wheat from the chaff - even if only by the simple expedient of cross checking elsewhere.
Worried parents/guardians come to this site for guidance and expect information they read here to be reasonably accurate, most are already in turmoil at this time and need to be able to trust what presents itself as a reliable source.
They certainly don't need you to accuse them of lacking intelligence, what will be next, a wheelchair bound child can run because their parent has use of both legs?
