Hi.
New to forum, and wanted some advice, ...well reassurance I suppose.
Blake is yr 4 (sept birthday) and I just got his CAT results. he got 128 nvr.
111 quan'(maths I think) and 101 vr.
Is this on the right track for kent test 2009??
What do I need to be doing (can't afford a tutor) to bring that vr score up??
Advice appreciated.

you could try downloading teh Tutors methods and techiniques for VR (it;s free just go to home page and click on free downloads.

Then armed with this it's practice and more practice.

Word games are good for spotting words in groups of letters and yopu could build up his vocabulary, again there is advice on the home page about games etc.

Any problems just ask, I'm sure someone will be able to help.

128 nvr is a great score - no need to worry there! 111 math is only just under the pass mark so with a bit of help from mum (papers etc) this may well improve. looks like the 101 vr score is the weakest area but in my experience (although not fair I know) with some practice of the question times, the child's score does improve.
Yoyo is perfectly right - vocabulary is paramount - and will improve the vr score.
Good luck! :)
