In regular shapes, which these all are, all sides and all angles are equal.

The more sides, the bigger the angle. That would the quickest explanation for a young child.

More thoroughly:

Equilateral triangle: 60 degrees each (180 divided by 3) A
Square : 90 degrees each (360 divided by 4) D
Pentagon : 108 degrees each (540 divided by 5) C
Hexagon : 120 degrees each (720 divided by 6) B
Heptagon : 128.5 deg. each (900 divided by 7)
Octagon : 135 degrees each (1080 divided by 8) E

As you can see, with each new side, the sum of the angles goes up by 180 degrees.

Thus you have A D C B E, so C is in the middle.

Hope this is the right question. This is the multiple choice version of that paper.

It's easier to remember that the external angles of any polygon add to 360.

So a regular pentagon has 5 exterior angles 360 divided by 5 = 72

Interior angle = 180 - 72 =108
