Maths question
Thought I'd posted this a few minutes ago, so if it appears twice I apologise. It seems to be a simple enough question, but DS's answer wasn't the same as ours and even the Maths teachers we have asked cannot agree on the answer.
From Bond Maths More third, Paper 13 Q46-47:
Badger Farm is 20m long and 15m wide. Fox Farm is twice the size of Badger Farm so Fox Farm is ___m long and ___m wide.
Thanks

Hearing the answer I am even more worried as 40 by 30 gives 1200 m^2, which must be 4 times the size of 300 m^2 surely. I would tell your DS that he is correct and accept that the answers have errors. I think Bond are very good value for money, but like everything there is often room for interpretation.
Thanks for the prompt responses. TBH we were unable to fault his logic and so gave him the marks. It's just that the Maths teachers gave the same answer as the book and then hummed and hawed when we told them DS's answer. You are the first person to give the same answer as DS. We can finally lay that one to rest!
