Does anyone know if protractor would be required for the kent exam tomorrow? I have one already and would like Child to take along but was told its not necessary.

Also CSSE maths paper 03 -Q22 pie chart does it require protractor:- ie "A pie chart shows marks for Ian's 6 subject (maths,English, Science, Geography, Art History). The total for all Ian's mark came to 396.

Q1) which subject did Ian gained most marks? ( I can see its History)
Q2) How many marks did he get for this subject? the answer is 99 (is this an estimate or do we measure using protractor?

Any help please?

Thanks

you don;t need a protractor, all the elements in a pie chart add up to100%, you know some information 100% = 396.

A pie chart is divided up into " slices" but the whole thing is 100% ie 1 whole.

( imagine cutting a whole pie into slices of varying size)

The information in the question tells us that the total for Ian's marks is 396.

Without the diagram I don;t have all the information, but from working backwards I would guess that it says History is 25%,

25% of 396 is 99.
