Does anybody know where i can purchase a set of 3d geometric shapes e. triangular prism etc to help with maths.

Why don't you make some from cardboard nets? It would be a good way of teaching this as well.

If you 'google' (other search engines are available) quite a few suppliers come up. It depends on your budget.

My children enjoy making 3D shapes with magnetix - the magnetic rod and ball baring sets. Blu tac and cocktail sticks would work equally as well. For 3D shapes such as spheres, cylinders etc, go on a 3D shape hunt around your house. You will soon have your very own set of shapes and lots of fun and discussion too.

We use polydron at school. Tough plastic shapes which click together to form any polyhedron you like.
You can get it from Amazon in a variety of pack sizes.
One advantage is the ability to make different nets aka the NVR sheets and see if they work.
