If (L + M - N) = 68 and M = 31, WHAT IS (L - N) / 2?

Method needed, answer is 18 1/2 or 18.5

If (L+M-N) =68

M=31

so( L+31-N) =68

(L-N) = 31 less than 68

L-N = 68-31 = 37

37/2 = 18.5

If (L + M - N) = 68 and M = 31

So subtract 31 or M from each side of the equation gives
(L - N) = 37

so (L - N) / 2 = 37 /2

= 18 1/2 or 18.5
