sister 26 1/3rashdah wrote:If Sarah's bro is 2yrs younger than her, and Sarah's sister is 5 yrs younger than her.

brother 29 1/3
sarah 31 1/3
add on 7 years to the total age (2 for the brother and 5 for the sister) giving 94 and then divide by 3 to get Sarah's age (31 1/3) - then subtract 2 and 5 respectively from that to get the ages of the brother and sister.
These type of questions usually have answers in whole numbers though - is the question typed correctly? It isn't supposed to be "If Sarah's bro is 2yrs younger than her, and Sarah's sister is 5 yrs younger than him" is it? Or total age is 89 perhaps?
Re: Maths age problem
Oh please, if you're going to ask for help, why don't you type out the question properly as it was initially written? Why re-word it they way you have done? The person who replies is going to be spending longer than you did typing out the question badly.
