Any advice on how to help a Yr3 on mental maths.
My DD is in Yr3, and I am finding aspects of her mental maths a bit slow. We are currently on the 7times table, which is coming on very slow. This has been a struggle on the timetable learning. Although she is in yr3, our gradual climb towards 11+ has started. So any tips on how to tackle this phase of maths will be appreciated.

Thanks
2ndtimetrek.

We had song version of times tables on cd and played them in the car whenever we were going anywhere so they learnt them as lyrics. And some free games which both of mine have liked - Timez Attack and the Table Mountain game from the Teaching Tables website.

Thank you, Okanagan. I have just taken a look @ the Timez Attack, I can see how it will help.

I am sure to make a little girl happy when i get home.
